Earthbound is a very fun and great game but what makes many gamers turn the other way is because there arent any huge special effects. When the game was being made the designers were not throwing money into the special effects but were throwing it into making a fun game that everyone could enjoy. in fact the game was so popular in Japan that the advertizing ploy "This game stinks" wasn't turning off gamers because everyone was having fun with the game which is more than I can say for a couple of games over here namely wave race. If your an older gamer say mabey playing for five years and beaten at least 15 videogames you are most likely getting tired of Mario games mabey even most of the games out there, in that case you are more-than-likely entering the RPG stage so try out Legend of Zelda or Earthbund and if you arent out of Mario you may want to try Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars which is also a good game for all gamers...
